Gas Expenses

This is my estimated gas expense. It is a big expense and in order to figure it out I need to take how many days I traveled to Brookings times the gallons used based on my mileage and the distance I drive. The estimated cost for gas will be about $2.25. It is approximately 20 miles one way and 40 miles round trip.

  • 10 total days, equaling about 4 hours a day for a total of 40 hours
  • $2.25 per gallon
  • Total distance: my house to Brookings is rounded to 20 miles, a round-trip would equal about 40 miles
  • Vehicle gets around 10 miles per gallon
  • About 4 gallons used in my car for round-trip

I calculate I will need about $90 for all of my gas expenses on this project.

This is my actual expense as of right now. It is about 18 miles to the house so a round trip is about 36 miles. The vehicle used gets around 13 miles per gallon which comes out to about 2.8 gallons used each time I go to Brookings. I traveled to the house 7 days and the price of gas was $2.20 the cost of all the trips comes to $43.12

  • 7 total days
  • $2.20 per gallon
  • Total distance: my house to Brookings is roughly 18 miles, a round-trip would equal about 36 miles
  • About 2.8 gallons used in my car for round-trip
  • my vehicle got around 13 miles per gallon

The total expense for the gas comes out to $43.21 for traveling those days

Mentor Expenses

Troy's time spent with me to date is approximately 30-40 hours. At a rate of $30/hour.
40 hours x $30/hour = $1,200

Other Expenses

I am creating a model floor plan of the home to give an idea on how the structure will look like.

For this I need plywood, wood staples, and wood glue, I will also need paint. Each of these materials will cost me some money. The plywood being the most I figure that the plywood should cost about $40 dollars for two sheets. Wood staples and glue should cost about $8 for both together and the paint should cost around $15.
